I sleep with a fan on every night - I find the humming sound comforting and I love a nice cool breeze throughout the night - well, this is the fan! My old fan was so loud and rattled throughout the whole night, this fan is quiet and has excellent features!
The oscillating feature works perfectly and smoothly, you hear no indication that the fan is turning. The timer feature is nice, but I don't tend to use it, so I can't really comment. The speed settings are great - even at it's most powerful speed, it isn't mind-boggling loud. As for the ION feature, who knows if this really works - sounds like a bunch of hooey to me :)
It would be nice if the price were a bit lower, but after suffering through years of cheap, horribly made fans, the price tag is well worth it to me.
